Nuhoc is a student group based at Northeastern University. It is a completely student run club.

Nuhoc stands for Northeastern University Hus-skiers and Outing Club.

We are the proud owner of a Lodge in the White Mountains, on the border or Maine and New Hampshire.

What We Do

If it's outdoors, we've probably done it. We run trips year round (including the summer semesters) for all skill levels. A NUHOC trip can range from a few dedicated individuals taking on a far-away mountain to a beginner rock climbing trip near Boston. It can be one of our infamous Memorial Day trips at Acadia National Park to a relaxing weekend of skiing / snowboarding at Sunday River.

The types of trips we organize vary according to the season and what people are interested in doing. Favorites include: rock Climbing, Hiking, Biking, Skiing & Snowboarding, and of course hanging out at The Lodge. At least a few times a year we'll run bigger trips like a weekend of backpacking, kayaking or canoeing, caving, Mountaineering, ice climbing, and mountain Biking. We also try some more exotic adventures from time to time and we're always willing to explore new ideas and suggestions. And of course, if we're not putting together the trip you want to go on, we can definitely help you organize it.

Please see the History page if you would like to learn more about the club.
